Summer Highlights for Hair

1. Dye the ends

One of the biggest complaints about dyeing hair is having to deal maintaining the roots. This summer, go for some ombre hair where you focus on dyeing the ends of your hair. We love this sun-kissed look that is easy to maintain. It also gives off the appearance of looking natural, making it so easy for you to grow it out on its own if you don’t love it.

2. Add some red/brown tones

Even those with dark hair can switch up their look this summer. If you have really dark hair, aim for subtle browns or red that can work their magic to highlight your features.

3. Enhance your blonde hair

Even blondes can go even lighter over the summer. Talk to your hairdresser about adding in subtle low-lights, or if you’re feeling really bold how to go platinum.

4. Go dark on top

For the reverse ombre look, go for darker roots on the top that tapper off into your natural shade.  This dark-to-light blend will soften your face while also creating an edgy summer look.

5. Caramel lights

Caramel hair is all the rage right now and it’s easy to see why. This color is an excellent way for brunettes (for both light and dark hair) to dial down their hair color and brighten it up. Go over all over highlights, or subtle ones that frame your face.

6. Add some copper

Another beautiful way to enhance dark hair is by adding some copper highlights. A shade of red hair, copper can be a bold way to change your locks as you create a new look.   Which of these hair color ideas are you going to try this summer?
