Create Your Messy Bun
When creating this weekend updo, we recommend starting with a deep side part and creating a midi ponytail (not low but not too high!). As you gather your hair to create the ponytail, add just a little bit of hair gel to the side with less hair and leave a large section from the other side out to pin up later. Use bobby pins to wrap your ponytail around your elastic and create a bun. It’s okay if some pieces stick out or don’t get fully secured, it’ll add to the texture and messiness. Pin back the section of hair you left out now that it’s nice and teased.
