Coconut Milk Hair Mask: How This Infused Formula Helps Dry Hair

To begin my routine, I wash my hair with the Suave Coconut Milk Infusion Deep Moisture Shampoo. As mentioned in my most recent Nexxus review, for the fall season, I’ve been wearing my hair in a wavy style that involves using heat styling tools on my hair. At the moment, I am giving my hair a break and focusing on replenishing the moisture the dry air is sucking out of my juicy curls. Following my shampoo process, I divide my hair into two sections (as if I were creating space buns). Then, I apply the Suave Coconut Milk Infusion Intense Moisture Mask to my hair. (I must admit, I’m a little heavy handed with the application because I have thick hair, a fingertip amount of product won’t cut it.) After working the product through my hair from mid-lengths to the ends, I roll my sections into buns, then cover my hair with a heating cap for about 10 minutes. What I love about this coconut milk hair mask —besides the awesome smell— is that it doesn’t take long for it to penetrate the hair shaft. While I do love to cuddle on the couch for hours with a hair mask and a book in hand, during the colder months, I much rather be able to rinse my hair as quickly as possible and move onto the styling process. Personally, I don’t like to sit around with wet hair for too long during the colder seasons. Now for the end, I rinse out the coconut milk hair mask with cool water and finger detangle my hair at the same time. I usually dread the detangling process on wash day, but detangling really is a breeze with this hair mask. This formula leaves my curls hydrated and supple.
